Aunt Nannie's Corn Chowder
Aunt Nannie'S Corn Chowder is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 3 slices bacon, diced, 1 small onion, diced, 4 medium potatoes, peeled and cubed, 2 c. chicken stock and 1 (16 oz.) pkg. frozen corn, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A crowd-pleaser that never disappoints.
Saute bacon in Dutch oven.
Add onions and cook until transparent.
Add chicken broth or stock, potatoes, salt and pepper.
Put cornstarch in small container and add 1 cup milk. Stir until smooth.
Add to soup mixture and add 2 more cups of milk.
Bring to boil, stir and add chicken.
Cook 5 to 10 minutes on medium heat, stirring occasionally.
Serve with green salad and hot rolls.
