Aunt Dosha's Dinner Rolls
Aunt Dosha'S Dinner Rolls is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 4 tbsp. shortening, 1/2 c. sugar, 2 eggs, 1 c. sweet milk and 2 pkg. dry yeast, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Packed with nutrients and delicious flavors.
Mix shortening and sugar with salt.
Scald milk; pour over sugar mixture.
Let mixture cool.
Mix yeast with approximately 1/4 cup warm water; pour over same mixture.
Mix in the eggs.
Add 2 cups of the flour; beat well.
Add the rest of flour; knead the dough on a lightly floured surface.
Put dough in a heavy crock-type bowl; let rise until double in bulk.
Punch down; roll dough out.
Cut with biscuit cutter.
Melt 1 stick of butter; dip each piece of dough in the melted butter.
Place on baking sheet; let rise again.
Bake in a 350Β° oven until brown.
Yields approximately 2 dozen rolls.
When letting dough rise, cover with damp tea towel.
