Arabic Plain Rice
Arabic Plain Rice is an easy dinner. Made with 1/4 c. margarine or butter, 1 c. uncooked rice (long grain), 2 c. water, boiled and 1 tbsp. salt or less, if desired, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. An easy weeknight meal that comes together quickly.

Melt butter or margarine in saucepan.
Rinse rice in cold water, drain and add to butter.
Saute for a few minutes.
Add boiling water and salt.
Cover, lower heat and simmer 15 minutes or until rice is tender.
Rice is done when all water is absorbed and kernels are flaky.
Serves 4.
