Apple Cobbler
Apple Cobbler is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1/2 c. (1 stick) margarine, 2 c. sugar, 2 c. water, 1 1/2 c. flour (self-rising) and 1/2 c. shortening, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Bursting with flavor in every bite.
Heat oven to 350Β° and melt margarine in a 13 x 9 x 2-inch pan. In a saucepan, heat sugar and water until sugar melts.
Cut shortening into flour until particles are fine crumbs.
Add milk and stir.
Turn onto floured board and knead until smooth.
Roll dough into large rectangle; spread apples and sprinkle with cinnamon.
Roll up and slice into 1 1/2-inches and lay apple, side up carefully in pan.
Pour sugar syrup carefully around rolls. Bake 55 to 60 minutes.
