Angel Biscuits

Mix the yeast with the milk and sugar. Sift together the flour, soda, and salt. Cut in shortening. Mix in yeast mixture and stir until ingredients are moist. Knead four or five times, then roll about 1/2 inch thick and cut with
Biscuit cutter. Dip in melted butter and placed on greased cookie sheet. Let rise, covered, about one hour. Bake in a preheated 350Β° oven about 12 minutes or until nicely browned. Makes about 3 dozen 1/2 inch biscuits.
