Sift together flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda and salt.

Cut in shortening.

Dissolve yeast in the 4 tablespoons very warm water.

Add yeast and buttermilk to the flour mixture.

Place in refrigerator to chill.

When ready to bake, roll out to 1/4-inch thickness on a well floured board, using a floured rolling pin.

Cut with a 2 1/2-inch biscuit cutter.

Dip into melted butter and fold over to make "pocketbooks." Place on ungreased baking sheet or pan.

Bake in 400Β° oven until lightly browned.

Dough does not have to rise before baking and will keep in the refrigerator for a couple of days.
