Almond Pound Cake
Almond Pound Cake is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 (1 lb.) pkg. confectioners sugar, 1 1/2 c. margarine, softened, 6 eggs, at room temperature, 2 c. flour and 1 tbsp. vanilla extract, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Great for entertaining guests or a cozy night in.
Cream confectioners sugar and margarine in mixer bowl until light and fluffy.
Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition.
Add flour, vanilla extract and almond extract.
Beat at medium speed for 10 minutes.
Do not underbeat.
Pour into greased and floured tube pan.
Bake at 300Β° for 1 to 1 1/2 hours or until cake tests done.
Remove to wire rack.
Cool completely.
Wrap in plastic wrap.
May freeze for later use.
