Almond Chicken Casserole
Almond Chicken Casserole is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 3 envelopes noodle soup mix, 2 c. minute rice, 1 lb. sausage, 2 c. celery, sliced and 2 onions, chopped, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Great for entertaining guests or a cozy night in.
To 9 cups boiling water (or water and chicken broth), add soup mix.
Boil 9 minutes.
Add rice and boil 9 minutes more.
Brown sausage and drain grease.
Add celery, onions and green pepper and saute a little.
Add to rice mixture.
Add salt, pepper and mushroom soup; blend.
Add chicken.
Place in large casserole and sprinkle almonds on top.
Bake 1 hour at 325Β°, covered, and 15 additional minutes, uncovered.
Serves 16 to 20.
