Wine Soup
Wine Soup is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 qt. white wine, 2 c. water, 1 piece cinnamon stick (3-inch), 3 whole cloves and 3 whole allspice, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A classic recipe that has been enjoyed for generations.

Bring the wine, water and spices to boiling.
Strain.
Discard spices.
Beat egg yolks with sugar until thick.
Slowly add the hot wine mixture, beating constantly until a thick foam forms at the top.
Be careful not to curdle the yolks by pouring hot wine too fast.
Serve in cups with wafers.
Makes 8 to 10 servings.
