Dissolve yeast in warm water.
Pour boiling water over salt, sugar and shortening. When lukewarm, add the yeast and stir in the wheat flour gradually.
Mix to a stiff dough and knead until smooth, adding more flour, if necessary.
Let rise in a warm place until double in bulk.
Shape into 2 loaves and place in greased and floured pans.
Let rise again until double in bulk and bake at 350Β° for 45 minutes or until the bread shrinks from pan.
