Whole Wheat Cranberry Bran Bread
Whole Wheat Cranberry Bran Bread is an impressive dinner. Made with 1 c. all-purpose flour, 2 c. whole wheat flour, 1/2 c. all-bran or crushed bran cereal with raisins, 3/4 c. light brown sugar and 1 tsp. baking powder, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Combine flours, bran cereal, brown sugar, baking powder, baking soda and nuts; mix well.
Combine cranberries and granulated sugar.
Stir sugared cranberries, egg, milk, orange juice and margarine into flour mixture all at once, but only until mixed.
Pour into greased 9 x 5 x 3-inch loaf pan.
Preheat oven to 350Β°.
Bake in oven for 60 to 70 minutes, or until firm in center.
Cool in pan 10 minutes; remove to rack and cool on long side before slicing.
Freezes well.
Makes 1 loaf.
