Dissolve yeast in warm water.
Dissolve shortening, brown sugar and salt in hot water.
Add cold water, yeast and whole wheat flour.
Add enough white flour to make a slightly sticky dough (10 cups at most).
Knead.
Let rise.
Punch down.
Shape into 4 loaves.
Let rise.
Bake at 350Β° for approximately 50 minutes.
