White Potatoes And Onions is an easy dinner. Made with 3 lb. white potatoes, 2 medium onions, sliced thin, 4 c. cooking oil and 1/2 c. flour, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A classic recipe that has been enjoyed for generations.
Peel, wash slice potatoes crossways; drain. Place the 4 cups cooking in a frypan and heat until hot. Place the potatoes in the frypan a few at a time.
Cook until a light brown; remove potatoes and remove the cooking oil from the frypan.
1 cup of water into the frypan and add the sliced onions.
The onions cook for 5 minutes and add the potatoes.
Sprinkle flour over the potatoes and cook over a slow fire for 10 to 15 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Serves 6 to 8 people.
