Cut fruit and nuts; dredge in flour.
Cream butter and sugar. Add well-beaten eggs and blend well.
Sift flour and baking powder together.
Fold into butter and egg mixture.

Grease 10-inch tube pan.
Line with brown paper and grease again.
Pour batter into pan.
Place in cold oven and bake at 250Β° for 2 hours.
