Butter and sugar.

Add well beaten

Chop nuts and fruit.

Mix with part flour and baking powder and add to butter and egg mixture.

Grease pan and brown paper. Grease paper only on bottom of pan.

In cold oven and bake for 30 minutes at 300Β°, then turn to for 2 1/2 hours. Makes a 5 pound cake.

For a more moist

1 cup jelly.
