Virginia's Cabbage Casserole
Virginia'S Cabbage Casserole is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 large head cabbage, shredded, 1 onion, chopped, 6 tbsp. margarine, 1 can cream of mushroom soup and 8 oz. american cheese, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Great for entertaining guests or a cozy night in.

Cook cabbage in boiling salted water until tender; drain thoroughly.
In a large skillet, saute onion in 5 tablespoons margarine until tender.
Add soup (undiluted) and mix well.
Add cheese; heat and stir until melted.
Remove from heat and stir in cabbage.
Add salt and pepper.
Pour in a 2-quart casserole dish. Brown crumbs in 1 tablespoon margarine.
Put on top of casserole. Bake, uncovered, at 350Β° for 20 to 30 minutes.
Makes 6 to 8 servings.
