Vidalia Onion Pie
Vidalia Onion Pie is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1-1/2 cups finely crushed buttery crackers, 6 tbsp margarine, 2 cups thinly sliced vidalia onions, 3/4 cups milk (not low fat) and 2 eggs, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A classic recipe that has been enjoyed for generations.
Mix crackers and 4 Tbsp margarine and press mixture into 8 inch pie plate.
Melt 2 Tbsp margarine in skillet over medium heat.
Add onions and saute for 12 minutes (add salt and pepper to taste).
Arrange onions in crust.
Beat milk and eggs in medium bowl.
Pour over onions.
Sprinkle with cheese and paprika.
Bake in preheated 350 degree oven for 35 minutes.
