Verdi's Oven Fried Fish
Verdi'S Oven Fried Fish is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 to 1 1/2 lb. scrod, juice of 1/2 lemon, paprika, 1/3 to 1/2 c. melted butter and seasoned bread crumbs, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A crowd-pleaser that never disappoints.
Heat oven to 500° or 525° (yes!).
Wash and towel dry fish. Arrange in fairly thick portions on small baking sheet.
Drizzle with lemon juice.
Season with salt, pepper and paprika.
Combine melted butter with enough bread crumbs to make a soft mixture. Spoon/pat thickly on top of fish and press down firmly.
Bake for 15 minutes.
