Vanilla Cream Pie

In a saucepan, mix sugar, flour and salt. Stir in milk.
Cook until bubbly and stir for 2 minutes. Stir a portion of the hot mixture into egg yolks. Add to remaining hot mixture.
Return to heat for 2 minutes. Add butter and vanilla.
Pour into pie crust. Spread with a basic meringue and bake at 350Β° for 12 to 15 minutes.
