Vanilla Cream Pie
Vanilla Cream Pie is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 3/4 c. sugar, 1/3 c. flour, 1/4 tsp. salt, 2 c. milk and 3 egg yolks, beaten, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Perfect for family dinners and special occasions.
Combine sugar, flour and salt.
Stir in milk over medium heat until it bubbles.
Cook and stir 2 minutes.
Remove from heat. Stir in 1 spoon hot mixture into yolks.
Pour yolk into mixture. Cook 2 minutes, stirring constantly.
Remove.
Add butter and vanilla.
Pour in pie crust.
Beat 3 egg whites and 6 tablespoons sugar.
Add 1/2 teaspoon vanilla.
Beat until thick.
Pour on pie. Bake at 350Β° for 15 minutes.
