Traditional Brisket
Traditional Brisket is an easy dinner. Made with 2 lb. flat cut brisket (not a corned beef brisket), 1 pkg. lipton onion soup mix, 2 or 3 large onions, sliced, 1 can beef broth and water, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Ideal for meal prep and leftovers taste even better.
Place brisket in a deep, rectangular pan.
Enclose the meat in tinfoil.
Sprinkle with onion soup mix.
Place sliced onions on top of meat.
Cover and seal with tinfoil.
Cook approximately 2 hours at 350Β°.
Then take meat out and slice diagonally.
Put back into tinfoil.
Add beef broth and cover.
Bake another 2 hours. Meat should fall apart and be soft and tender when done.
If meat looks dry when baking, add water.
