Tomato Sauce
Tomato Sauce is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 2 (28 oz.) cans italian style plum tomatoes with liquid, 1/2 c. extra virgin olive oil, 2 cloves garlic, chopped fine, 2 1/4 tbsp. chopped parsley and 1/4 tsp. fresh ground black pepper, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A comforting dish that warms the soul.
Blend tomatoes at a low speed until smooth, one can at a time. Return to cans.
Heat the olive oil in a medium saucepan over medium heat.
Add garlic and parsley.
Saute until you can smell garlic.
Add tomatoes slowly.
Bring to a boil.
Reduce heat, stir in salt and pepper and simmer, stirring occasionally, about 35 to 40 minutes or until thick.
