Theresa's Marinara Sauce
Theresa'S Marinara Sauce is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 2 cans (32 oz.) hunt's tomato sauce, 1 medium green bell pepper, 1 carrot, 1 medium onion and 3 white mushrooms, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A comforting dish that warms the soul.
Individually chop vegetables in a food processor until finely minced.
Place oil in a large pot and saute vegetables along with minced garlic and parsley.
Once vegetables are partially cooked (about 4 minutes), add sauce and broth.
Lower heat and cook for approx. 1 hour.
When sauce is done, add the romano cheese and stir.
