The Ruby Slipper Cake
The Ruby Slipper Cake is an easy dinner. Made with 1 pkg. yellow cake mix, 1 c. (1/2 pt.) sour cream, 1/4 c. water, 2 eggs and 1 pkg. (3 oz.) raspberry flavor gelatin, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Ideal for meal prep and leftovers taste even better.

Combine cake mix, sour cream, water and eggs in large bowl. Blend, then beat at medium speed for 2 minutes until creamy. Spoon 1/3 of batter into well-greased and floured fluted tube pan. Sprinkle with 1/2 the gelatin.
Repeat layers.
Spread remaining batter over gelatin to cover.
Bake at 350Β° for 45 to 50 minutes, until cake springs back when lightly pressed.
Cool in pan for 5 minutes.
Remove from pan, cool on rack.
Sprinkle with confectioners sugar, if desired.
When cake is cut, it resembles a ruby slipper.
