The Chewy Oatmeal Cookie
The Chewy Oatmeal Cookie is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 3/4 c. butter flavor crisco, 1 1/4 c. firmly packed light brown sugar, 1 egg, 1/3 c. milk and 1 1/2 tsp. vanilla, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A crowd-pleaser that never disappoints.
Heat oven to 375°.
Combine Crisco, brown sugar, egg, milk and vanilla in a large bowl.
Beat at medium speed of electric mixer until well blended and fluffy.
Combine oats, flour, baking soda, salt and cinnamon. Mix into creamed mixture at low speed just until blended.
Stir in raisins and nuts.
Drop rounded teaspoonfuls onto baking sheet.
Bake at 375° for 10 to 12 minutes or until lightly browned.
Cool 2 minutes on baking sheets. Remove to rack.
