Texas-Size Almond Cookies
Texas-Size Almond Cookies is an impressive dinner. Made with 1 c. sugar, 1 c. powdered sugar, 1 tsp. almond extract, 3 1/2 c. flour and 1 tsp. baking soda, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Ideal for meal prep and leftovers taste even better.
In a large bowl, blend sugars, butter and oil until well blended.
Add almond extract and eggs; mix well.
Gradually blend in all flours, baking soda and cream of tartar at low speed of electric mixer.
By hand, stir in almonds and butter brickle.
Chill if desired.
Shape by large tablespoons into balls.
Roll in sugar and place 5 inches apart on ungreased sheet.
With fork dipped in sugar, flatten with crisscross pattern.
Bake at 350Β° for 12 to 18 minutes or until light golden brown around edges.
