Mix 5 ingredients in large heavy saucepan on low heat.
Cool until sugar dissolves.
Increase heat to high and boil to 210° on candy thermometer, about 5 minutes.
Add pecans and oleo.
Boil, stirring, to 230° thread stage, about 5 minutes.
Cool 1 minute. Beat with wooden spoon until thick and creamy, about 5 minutes. Drop by teaspoon on greased cookie sheet.
Store in airtight container for a month.
