Texas Chili
Texas Chili is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1/2 lb. (1 1/4 c.) pinto beans, 1 lb. ground beef, 1 c. chopped onion, 1 c. chopped celery and 1/2 c. chopped green pepper, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A crowd-pleaser that never disappoints.

Cook beans and drain, saving 1 cup liquid.
Cook meat until it loses its red color, breaking it with a fork.
Add onion, celery, green pepper and garlic.
Cook 5 minutes longer.
Add seasonings. Break up tomatoes, combine with meat, beans and 1 cup bean liquid. Bring to boil, reduce heat, cover and simmer for 1 hour.
Serves 10.
