Tea Cakes is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 3 c. sugar, 1 c. shortening, 3 eggs, dash of salt and 4 level tsp. baking powder (with plain flour), this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A crowd-pleaser that never disappoints.

Cream sugar and shortening together.
Add eggs, one at a time, slightly beat.
Add remaining ingredients.
Sift flour and add to batter like biscuit dough.
Roll out and cut with cookie cutter. Place on cookie sheet and bake in 350Β° oven until slightly brown. Use enough flour for rolling consistency or flour hands and roll into ball as you would a biscuit.
