Sweet Sour Spareribs(Serves 6) is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 4 lb. country-style pork spareribs, 1/4 to 1/3 c. brown sugar, 1 large onion, thinly sliced, 1/2 c. soy sauce and 1/3 c. vinegar, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Separate spareribs and place in a 13 x 9-inch baking dish. Sprinkle generously with brown sugar.
Cover with sliced onion. Mix together soy sauce, vinegar, water and cornstarch and pour this mixture over spareribs.
Cover and bake at 425Β° for 1 hour or until done.
Remove cover and continue baking for approximately 5 minutes to brown.
Serve sauce over rice.
