Sweet Potato Pie
Sweet Potato Pie is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 unbaked pie shell, 2 medium sized sweet potatoes, 1/4 c. butter, 1 c. sugar and 1/2 c. milk, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Perfect for family dinners and special occasions.
Potatoes in skins until fork tender.
Peel and mash butter until smooth and creamy.
Mix in sugar and milk; add egg and beat briskly with fork to blend.
Stir in vanilla, nutmeg, lemon juice and salt; pour into pie shell. Bake in oven (400Β°) for 30 to 35 minutes until pastry is nicely browned filling around edges.
Cool before cutting.
