Sweet Potato Biscuits
Sweet Potato Biscuits is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 4 c. cooked, mashed sweet potatoes, 1 1/2 c. crisco, unmelted, 3/4 c. water, 1 tsp. baking powder and dash of salt, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Great for entertaining guests or a cozy night in.

Preheat oven to 475°.
Sift flour in a tray or long dish. Make a hole in the middle of the flour with your hands.
Put the potatoes in the hole.
Add Crisco, baking powder, water and salt. Mix by hand like you would other biscuits.
Pinch off dough in biscuit size pieces.
Roll in floured hand until smooth.
Place in greased biscuit pan and bake in oven at 475° until done. Serve warm with butter.
Makes about 24.
