Cucumbers in salt water 14 days. Remove slime on top every couple

Weight so cucumbers are covered. Remove, thin and round.

Soak overnight in alum water.

Rinse and cover with vinegar for 6 hours. Throw away vinegar.

Layer of cucumbers, a layer of sugar and a layer of pickling spices until container is full. Cover.

In a few days the sugar will melt and make syrup to cover pickles.

Leave in container or put in jars and cover top. Do not process.

Keeps indefinitely.

No need to refrigerate.
