Sweet Chocolate Pie
Sweet Chocolate Pie is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 1/2 c. white granulated sugar, 1/2 c. powdered cocoa, 3 tbsp. cornstarch, 1/2 tsp. salt and 4 eggs, separated (reserve whites), this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Perfect for family dinners and special occasions.

In a medium saucepan, combine sugar, cocoa, cornstarch and salt.
Add just enough milk to make a paste; mix well.
Add yolks; beat and mix well.
Add the remaining milk and water.
Cook over medium-low heat; stir constantly until thickened to prevent lumping and burning.
Remove from heat; stir in vanilla and butter.
Pour into baked pie crust shell and spread evenly.
Top with meringue; lightly brown.
Makes 1 (9-inch) pie.
