Swedish Meatballs
Swedish Meatballs is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 3 c. dry bread crumbs, 1 1/2 c. light cream, 1 1/2 lb. ground beef, 3/4 lb. ground pork and 3/4 lb. ground veal, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Ideal for meal prep and leftovers taste even better.
In large bowl, soak bread crumbs in cream.
Mix in meat thoroughly.
Stir in remaining ingredients, except shortening. Shape mixture into 1-inch balls.
Melt shortening in large skillet.
Brown and cook meatballs.
Serve meatballs from chafing dish.
Keep "seconds" warm in the oven.
Makes 25 servings.
