Swedish Birds Nest Cookies
Swedish Birds Nest Cookies is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1/2 c. butter (soft), 1/4 c. brown sugar, 1 egg yolk, slightly beaten, 1 c. sifted flour and 1 egg white, slightly beaten, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. An easy weeknight meal that comes together quickly.

Cream butter and sugar and blend.
Add egg yolk and blend. Stir in flour.
Roll dough into 1-inch balls, dip in egg white, roll in nuts, place on greased cookie sheet.
Lightly press into center of balls with tip of teaspoon to form small depression. Bake at 300Β° for 5 minutes, remove from oven and again press centers with teaspoon.
Bake 15 minutes more.
Cool, place jelly in centers.
Makes about 2 dozen.
