Super Bubble Loaf
Super Bubble Loaf is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 pkg. active dry yeast, 1/4 c. warm water (105~ to 115~), 1 c. milk, scalded (105~ to 115~), 1 egg and 2 tbsp. honey, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Great for entertaining guests or a cozy night in.
In a large mixing bowl, combine yeast and warm water.
Let stand for a few minutes.
Add milk, egg, honey, salt and thyme. Add about 1 cup flour.
Beat until batter is smooth.
Gradually add rest of flour until a rather stiff dough forms.
Turn dough out onto a lightly floured surface.
Knead until smooth and elastic.
Place in bowl.
Cover.
Let rise 1 hour.
Punch down. Put on lightly floured surface; knead a few times.
Divide in half.
Cut each half in 8 even pieces.
Shape in a small ball. Place 8 rolls in a greased loaf pan.
Drizzle with melted butter. Repeat with other pan.
Cover; let rise 30 to 40 minutes.
Bake at 400Β° for about 40 minutes or until golden brown.
