Wash raisins in hot water and drain.
Cream shortening with sugar, then add beaten eggs and milk.
Combine with oatmeal and raisins and mix well.
Add flour sifted with baking soda, salt and cinnamon.
Beat thoroughly.
Drop by tablespoon onto greased pans and bake in moderate oven (350° to 375°) for about 12 minutes. Makes about 3 dozen medium-sized cookies.
Store between layers of wax paper.
