Sugar Cookies
Sugar Cookies is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 2/3 c. shortening, 1 egg, 4 tsp. milk, 1 1/2 tsp. baking powder and 3/4 c. sugar, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A classic recipe that has been enjoyed for generations.

Preheat oven to 375Β°.
Thoroughly cream shortening, sugar and vanilla.
Add egg and milk; beat until light and fluffy.
Mix together dry ingredients.
Blend into creamed mixture.
Cover and chill at least 1 hour.
On a lightly floured surface, roll 1/2 of the dough to 1/8-inch thickness.
Cut into desired shapes with cookie cutters.
Bake on ungreased cookie sheet for 8 to 10 minutes.
Cool slightly, then remove from sheet.
Makes about 3 dozen cookies.
