Sugar Cookies
Sugar Cookies is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 3 c. all-purpose flour, 2 tsp. cream of tartar, 1 tsp. baking soda, 1/2 tsp. salt and 1 c. crisco, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Simple to make and full of bold, satisfying flavors.

Sift together flour, cream of tartar, baking soda and salt. Cut in shortening until mixture resembles fine crumbs.
In a separate bowl, beat together eggs, sugar and vanilla.
Add egg mixture to sifted ingredients and mix well.
Shape into balls the size of a walnut.
Place on greased cookie sheet about 2-inches apart.
Press each ball flat with the bottom of a glass or jar. Top with pecan, if desired.
Bake at 375Β° for 8 to 10 minutes.
