Strawberry Rhubarb Pie
Strawberry Rhubarb Pie is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 1/3 to 1 1/2 c. sugar, 1/3 c. flour, 1/2 tsp. orange peel, grated, 2 1/2 c. rhubarb, chopped and 2 1/2 c. strawberries, sliced, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A comforting dish that warms the soul.
Stir together the sugar, flour and orange peel.
Put half of fruit in a pie shell; sprinkle with half of orange peel mixture. Put remaining fruit in and sprinkle with remaining mixture.
Dot with butter.
Place on top pie shell.
Bake at 425° for 10 to 15 minutes.
Turn down oven to 350° and bake for 30 to 35 more minutes, or until juice bubbles.
