Stockton's Shrimp or Crawfish Etouffee
Stockton'S Shrimp Or Crawfish Etouffee is an impressive dinner. Made with 1/2 c. butter, 1/4 c. green onions, chopped + tops, 1 small onion, chopped, 1 can chopped ro-tel tomatoes + 2 cans water and 1 small can tomato sauce, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A comforting dish that warms the soul.
Saute onions in butter; add tomatoes, water, tomato sauce, sugar, salt, pepper and bouillon granules.
Simmer 30 minutes.
Mix cornstarch and water and add to skillet with crawfish or shrimp. Simmer 5 minutes; add crab meat.
(One can white chicken can be substituted for crab meat.)
Simmer 5 more minutes.
Serve over rice.
