Squash Dressing is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 2 lb. yellow squash, 1/4 c. water, 1 (6 oz.) pkg. cornbread, mix and baked as directed, 2 c. milk and 1/2 c. chopped celery, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A classic recipe that has been enjoyed for generations.

Preheat oven to 350Β°.

Cook squash in water in covered saucepan until tender.

Drain and mash.

Crumble baked cornbread into milk; set aside.

Saute celery and onion in margarine until tender.

Add pepper, soup, poultry seasoning and squash.

Stir in bread mixture.

Pour ingredients into a 2-quart casserole.

Bake for 1 hour or until set.

May top with cheese.
