Bring milk to boil, add shortening, sugar, salt and squash. Cool to lukewarm.

Sprinkle yeast over warm water, after 5 minutes, add to milk mixture.

Add 1 c. flour and beaten egg, beat until smooth.

Add enough flour to make a soft dough.

Mix well.

Cover dough and let rise in warm place about 1 1/2 hours or until double in bulk.

Punch down and let rise again.

Turn out on lightly floured board.

Roll 1/2 inch thick.

Cut and shape into rolls. Place on greased baking sheet and brush with melted butter.

Let rise about 1/2 hour.

Bake at 425Β° for 20 to 25 minutes.
