Spoon Rolls
Spoon Rolls is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 2 pkg. dry yeast or 2 1/2 tbsp., 4 c. lukewarm water, 3/4 lb. oleo, 1/2 c. sugar and 8 c. self-rising flour, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Great for entertaining guests or a cozy night in.
Dissolve yeast in warm water.
Melt oleo and mix with sugar and eggs.
Add 2 cups self-rising flour.
Combine with dissolved yeast mixture and add remaining flour.
Drop by spoonfuls into greased muffin pan, about 3 tablespoons or No. 16 size scoop into pan. Bake at 400Β° for 20 minutes.
Remaining batter may be kept several days in refrigerator.
Makes 48 rolls.
