Special Chicken Casserole
Special Chicken Casserole is an impressive dinner. Made with 3 1/2 to 4 lb. chicken, cut up, 1/2 c. flour, 2 tsp. salt, 2 tsp. black pepper and 1/2 c. butter or oleo, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Ideal for meal prep and leftovers taste even better.
Combine flour, salt and black pepper.
Dip cut up chicken in this seasoned flour mixture.
Brown chicken pieces in butter or oleo.
Transfer to a baking dish.
To butter, add 1 to 2 teaspoons of remaining seasoned flour, minced onion, celery flakes, sweet pepper flakes, nutmeg, dash of m.s.g., mushroom soup, tomato sauce and water.
Simmer 5 minutes, then pour over chicken.
Cover and bake in 350Β° oven until tender, about 1 hour.
