Spareribs and Sauerkraut
Spareribs And Sauerkraut is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 4 lb. spareribs, 5 to 6 c. sauerkraut, 8 small new potatoes, halved (optional), 1 apple, diced and 1 onion, chopped, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Bursting with flavor in every bite.

Pork chops can be substituted for spareribs.
Simply brown them in a little oil before assembling.
Cut spareribs into serving-size pieces.
Spread 2 cups sauerkraut in the bottom of a 3 to 4-quart casserole.
Top with half the ribs, half the potato pieces, half the diced apple and half the onion.
Add another layer of 2 cups sauerkraut and repeat remaining ribs, potatoes, apple and onion.
Top with remaining sauerkraut.
Combine brown sugar and water.
Pour over casserole, cover and bake at 325Β° for 2 to 3 hours.
Yields 4 to 6 servings.
