Spaghetti Meat Sauce
Spaghetti Meat Sauce is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 1/2 lb. hamburger, 2 c. finely chopped onion, 2 cloves garlic, crushed, 2 tbsp. sugar and 2 tbsp. salt, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Packed with nutrients and delicious flavors.
Cut into chunks with wooden spoon and cook for 10 minutes.
Add onions and garlic, stirring frequently until meat is browned and vegetables are tender, about 10 minutes.
Add sugar, salt, basil, oregano and crushed red pepper.
Add tomatoes, tomato paste and tomato purée.
Mash tomatoes with wooden spoon.
Bring to boiling; reduce heat, simmer, covered, stirring occasionally until thickened for 1 1/2 to 2 hours.
Makes 3 quarts.
One quart is enough for 1/2 pound of spaghetti.
