Southern Pralines
Southern Pralines is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 c. granulated sugar, 1 c. packed brown sugar, 1/2 tsp. soda, 1/8 tsp. salt and 1 c. buttermilk, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A comforting dish that warms the soul.
Combine sugars, soda, salt and buttermilk.
Cook in heavy saucepan or iron pot.
Cook to 230Β°.
Add butter and vanilla. Beat until thick; add pecans or place one whole half on each pattie after dropped.

Newspaper under waxed paper to keep from sticking to cabinet top.
