Southern Pecan Pie
Southern Pecan Pie is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 1/2 c. maple syrup, 1/4 c. sugar, 1 1/2 c. pecans, 3 tbsp. butter and 2 tbsp. flour, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A classic recipe that has been enjoyed for generations.

Put syrup in saucepan.
Bring to full boil and boil for 8 minutes.
(Watch carefully.)
Remove from heat and cool for 15 minutes.
Cream together butter, sugar, salt and flour.
Then add eggs, vanilla and syrup.
Beat well.
Line a 9-inch unbaked pie crust with 1 1/2 cups broken-up pecans.
Pour mixture into pie crust.
Bake at 400° for 10 minutes, then lower heat to 350° and bake for 45 minutes longer or until puffed on top.
